Eureka Solitaire

Eureka Solitaire
is it big enough for two?

i was thinking about buying a Eureka solitaire tent and it says its only for one. now i was wondering if it was big enough for two, my fiance and i. now i don’t have exact measurements of the tent, so i wanted an answer from someone who has first hand experience with the tent. the tent he has now could fit three skinny people so i was just wondering. i know it will be a tight squeeze especially with sleeping bags

my fiance: 6’11-175lbs
Me: 5’6- 125 lbs
wow yeah sry that was a misprint

my fiance is 5 11
i’m 5 6

if he is right at 7′ tall, length is going to be your problem (I’m really assuming that is a typo and he is 5’11” – any gear like sleeping bags and tents would just about have to be custom made for someone 7′ tall)
the Solitaire is 2′-8″ wide per catalogs – 32″.
It will be tight and uncomfortable for 2 – regular sleeping pads are 20″ wide. I’ve always used that as a minimum dimension for width per person. So yes, both of you can get inside the tent but there is no way you are going to sleep comfortably. You might stand it for one night but I would get a bigger tent or use a tarp if money is issue.
