Though I’m not an avid reader or movie watcher, I know for certain that Stephen King uses astrology to write at least some of his novels.
FireStarter is filled with information regarding the Fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.
IT in turn is filled with information regarding the sign Pisces.
Martha Lawrence writes a series of mysteries featuring a PI who’s psychic. The titles and stories reference astrological signs:

I’ve only read a few, but they’re pretty good as both mysteries and astrological/metaphysical writing.
