Why does my Garmin GPS unit to collect stores and roads exhist but it wont be displayed on the GPS device?
I tried to update my GPS unit on garmin.com but he says there no update for it now. She did not choose, even a gas station that has been here for 2 years!
2 years is not that old in terms of GPS and mapping programs. Most cards have Garmin was published in 2005-2006. They are due for some updates, but would likely include only the 2006 data. It is not a giant map of universal database that everyone uses. There are several map sources, and each must be developed for units from different manufacturers. Then, maps compiled must be made on the GPS units themselves, upgrade or DVD / CD / flash cards. All GPS units tell you that the data are not made to the accuracy of the minute, and is only a guide to find places.
