Linerlock Knife

Linerlock Knife
What is the difference between the Linerlock, Framelock, and Lockback feature in pocket knives?

I have no clue what framelock is particularly.
Is one better to have than the other?

Linerlock has a piece in the middle of the knife that holds the blade in its fixed position. You have to move this out of the way in order to close the knife.
Framelock is similar to linerlock in that a piece of the knife is used to keep the blade fixed instead here though the actual frame is holding it in place. (See Kershaw’s “chive”)
Lockback is a folding blade that typically uses a button to retract the blade.
