What is a good brand of knife?
I just bought a Frost knife and realized that all my knives are wal-mart POS’s. I want a good long lasting knife for under 200 dollars. I’ll be using it for camping, esp. primitive camping and teaching wilderness survival.
I heard about ka-bar and this knife looked the most appealing, any comments on that choice?

I have quite a few knives. For camping, something like that is going to be your best best. You can cook with it, cut anything, clean a fish, get some branches for a fire, eat with it, pretty much anything. That size may be a little too big though, that’s more like a machette. Look into the marine corps size knives, with the 7.5 inch blade-that’s what I have, and even that size gets to be a little cumber sum at times, you don’t need much bigger honestly. For everyday use, I carry a gerber F.A.S.T. action presto…it’s the closest thing to a dwitch blade you can carry legally (i got switchblades too, but not worth carrying incase you get caught). I love my gerber though, it’s super quick to open and is like a 3.5 inch blade, which is the perfect carry size IMO. You can cut just about anything with it while is not being to uncomfortable to keep in the pocket.
